We had a lot of fun this Easter! What made it especially fun was that it was Nicholas's first Easter! I think he really liked it, too! On Saturday, we colored our Easter eggs. Nicholas didn't really help with the coloring, but he kept trying to eat the eggs (shell and all). It didn't work out so well for him. On Easter morning, Nicholas woke up at 6:45, which means that I woke up at 6:46, and then the two of us decided that Brandon needed to be awake by 6:50. Nicholas tried his hardest to get Brandon up!
Nicholas was pretty excited to see his Easter basket! He and Cookie Monster have become fast friends. Nicholas has also discovered that he, like Cookie Monster, has a sweet tooth. This child LOVES candy, so we're having to pace him with his candy stash.
All ready for church! Nicholas and I had on our new Easter outfits. Brandon even had a new Easter tie, but when he was getting ready, we discovered that any shirt he has that would match it was in the massive laundry pile in our bedroom. I really should do something about that... At any rate, I think we look great! And we loved being able to go to church and to celebrate our Savior's resurrection on Sunday! I especially loved listening to the Primary sing "Tell Me the Stories of Jesus" because I know that they have been trying so hard to learn it!
After church we headed over to my parents' home for Easter dinner and an egg hunt. Scott, Christopher, and Brandon were in charge of hiding the eggs. They started to over-think the whole process, so we had to remind them that the kids searching for the eggs were roughly a year-old and three years-old! We were so happy to have Christopher back from Korea to share Easter with us. He has been over there doing an internship for LG. And he leaves again this week to head back to Utah! Hopefully we'll get to see him once more before he leaves!
Nicholas was really more interested in meandering all over the place than actually searching for eggs. He did get into the spirit of things and managed to find a few...with a little help from Mom and Dad.
After the egg hunt was over, the three cousins (Connor, Emily, and Nicholas) sat down to go through their candy. I thought all three kids were very cute dressed up in their Easter clothes and eating candy!
And a little video of Nicholas rummaging through his basket. He liked to make "egg bombs" out of his plastic eggs! As soon as he took them out of the basket, he would drop them on the floor, scattering jelly beans and other little candies all over the place!
Aw:) It looks like you guys had a great Easter with Nicholas! You're right! The kids all did look so adorable in their Easter outfits!
