A Tale of Two Siblings

The whole best-of-times-worst-of-times thing seems to ring true when it comes to our two little kids.  For the past nine months, we have been speculating about how Nicholas would react to our little Renae.  We assumed there would be some jealousy, some affection, and some indifference.  And we were right on all accounts.  Fortunately for all of us, Renae is fairly easy-going.  She can sleep through almost anything, including Nicholas trying to poke her eyes, pick her nose, or push her off my lap.  We can tell that he really does love her, though.  He loves giving her hugs and kisses and even tries holding her hand at times.  We are excited to see how their relationship develops!
