Remind me why I want Nicholas to talk...

With Nicholas starting to talk now, we are discovering some pretty amusing things coming from his mouth.

Brandon: Nicholas, what does a dinosaur say?

Nicholas: Rooaaarrrr!

Brandon: What does a monkey say?

Nicholas: Aaa!  Aaa!

Brandon: What does a dad say?

Nicholas: (mimics snoring...I taught him that)

Brandon: What does a mom say?

Nicholas: No!  (no one taught him that...he came up with it on his own)

We told this to my mom at her house a few weeks ago, and she thought it was pretty funny, so she thought she'd try it out.

My mom: Nicholas, what does a Grandma say?

Nicholas: Yes!

And finally, here's an amusing little anecdote for you.  Nicholas is also learning the names of facial features and loves to point out everyone's eyes.  When I took him in to get his 18 month shots last week, he even poked the doctor's eyes to show the doctor he knew where his eyes were!  Well, a few days ago Nicholas came and sat on my lap and just stared at me.  I thought he was being pretty cute, so I asked him what he was looking at.  He pointed at a small zit on my forehead and said, "eyes!"  Why do I want him to talk?
