Nicholas and the Purple Crayon, or This is What Happens When You Read to Your Kids

We have a book entitled Harold and the Purple Crayon.  I'm sure many of you are familiar with this book.  It is about a little boy who has a purple crayon and creates his own adventures by drawing them out with this crayon.  Nicholas kind of even resembles Harold.  The other day I got out some crayons for Nicholas to color with, then I went back into the kitchen to get a coloring book for him, and when I went back into the living room, this is what I found:

As soon as I saw him, the title of this book popped into my mind because he was holding a purple crayon.  Notice the crayon residue on his chin, too?  He decided he also wanted to eat the crayon.  Fortunately crayon come off of tv screens pretty easily with a wet paper towel.  Unfortunately it took a bit of elbow grease and a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to get it off the walls.
