I really wish that I were doing better at updating my blog this year, but I figure if I even post once a month it will still be more frequent than my journal keeping. Here's what we've been up to:
Brandon--He continues to be BUSY! Two weeks ago he worked 60 something hours, but then last week he only worked 45 hours. School has been rough for him the last few weeks, and he has finals this week. His stress level should be much better a week from now! He really does love his job and his opportunity to go to school, so any of his complaints are just temporary. I personally think Brandon is doing a phenomenal job of juggling everything and everyone!
Rebecca--I started babysitting a little girl about a month and a half ago, so my life has gotten much busier! Three kids under the age of two can be a little crazy at times! She even fell down our stairs last week and got a bloody nose, which sent me into a panic. I called Brandon at work just sobbing, so he raced home because he had no clue about what was going on. When he walked in the door minutes later, I was still crying, but all of the kids seemed fine. It just scared me a bit because I didn't want to have disfigured this little girl entrusted to me, but she didn't really seem to be that shaken up by it. Brandon just blessed my heart once again for being me and went back to work once he knew I was okay!
Nicholas--Our little guy just seems to be growing leaps and bounds these days! It feels like he has added another inch every morning when I get him out of his room, but I'm sure that's not really the case. He is just losing any remnant of being my baby boy and is all little boy, complete with digging in the dirt, picking up rocks to put in his pocket, and playing t-ball out in the yard! He has recently taken to calling me "Nah," though, and I'm not sure I like it.
Renae--I'm pretty sure Renae will be crawling within the next two or three weeks. She can pull herself up onto her knees and can scoot around pretty well. That will add a whole new kind of craziness around here! Her hair is finally growing uniformly around her head, so she has a nice, soft halo of light red hair. It's pretty darn cute if you ask me! She has also started jabbering out some syllables. I think Brandon's loving it because she mostly is saying, "da-da-da-da!"
We also added a new van that I have named Dolly to our family. That has been a big blessing so that I am able to get out more with all of the kids. My brother Scott and his wife Sarah also just had a baby girl named Ella two days ago, so we are so excited to finally be able to meet her! We went to the hospital yesterday to see baby Ella Lucile (named for both of my grandmothers), and she is just so cute! I can't believe Renae used to be that little...they just grow so quickly!
That should bring you up to speed in our life. I will update this again later today or tomorrow with some pictures, but Renae's hollering for me to change her diaper right now, so I must go!
Glad you have updated. I keep forgetting to have you help me with my blog. I haven't put anything on it because I don't know how. So - I need you to come and help your poor computer illiterate mother! :)
