Easter 2009

It was a unique Easter this year with Nicholas's birthday sharing the special day, but we were still able to enjoy a nice, quiet Easter Day.

The Easter Bunny didn't come until after the kids woke up from their afternoon naps.
The Easter Bunny, I'm told, knew that if we had lots of candy, we'd eat it all in one sitting.  So, each of us only had 4 or 5 eggs with candy in them...and we ate them all in one sitting!

Nicholas got a really fun bouncy ball in his basket!
Renae got some stacking cups in her basket, but was mostly content to just play with the empty Easter egg she also received!
Brandon needed to guard his eggs from Nicholas!
I was a part of the celebration, too, but this is really the only picture of me that day.  Nicholas was using the camera to take a few shots, and this is one of the few he didn't have his finger in front of!
After we went through our baskets, we hooked the computer up to the tv and watched some uplifting videos from mormon messages on youtube.  We especially loved the video they made from Elder Holland's talk last conference about the Savior.  It was the perfect way for us to celebrate Easter and remember His sacrifice and the Resurrection.

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter, too!

  1. I think I'm going to suggest to the Easter bunny that he/she only put 4-5 eggs in the basket as well. GREAT idea!
