Brandon...Just Your Average, Everyday Hero!

I promised Brandon that I would post this yesterday, but I didn't. Obviously. So, to remedy the situation, I am going to describe this amazing man's latest heroic deed. Monday evening, for FHE we decided to go to a park near the airport where Brandon used to work. As he was driving some twisty route there, he noticed a bunch of smoke coming from a building just off a busy road. I didn't notice it because this section of road is, as previously mentioned, rather twisty, and I thought one of us should keep our eyes on the road. As soon as he said he saw smoke, I turned and saw that an open semi trailer packed full of wood was smoking just outside of a warehouse that makes wine racks. We didn't see anyone around, so we assumed it wasn't a controlled burn. Brandon, being the quick-thinker he is, grabbed my phone and called 911. Within moments we heard the fire trucks hurrying to the scene. We stayed at the park for about 40 minutes, and as we drove past the warehouse on our way home, the fire fighters were still dousing the trailer with their hoses! Fortunately, no one was hurt, and it didn't even make the news, much to our (slight) disappointment. At any rate, I'm glad that Brandon was observant and, as always, looking out for ways to serve and help people around him.
