Festival of Lights-Cincinnati Zoo

Every year, the Cincinnati Zoo puts on a spectacular lights display at Christmastime called, "The Festival of Lights."  I hadn't been to it in a while, so when we had an evening with 60 degree weather in December, we called up my parents and headed to the zoo!  (Bonus: it was a Monday night, too, so it was an instant FHE!)

Nicholas and some girl we don't know with Rudolph.  Nicholas loved all of the characters walking around!

My dad and Renae in the elephant house.  Renae LOVED the elephants!

Renae was pretty much held the entire time!  (I don't think Brandon minded holding her, though!)

Renae actually recognized that this baby was Baby Jesus in their nativity display!  I was so happy to realize that some of what we try to teach our kids is able to sink in!

You can't really tell, but our kids are sitting on a statue of an elephant!

  1. Rebecca I love all your posts! Congrats on the new dog! I really wished we had gone to the zoo on that Monday night. We missed out because after that night his has either been raining or absolutely freezing!
