Palmyra/Kirtland Trip-Days 3 & 4

The 3rd day was spent seeing Niagara Falls and then driving to Kirtland, OH.

I hate driving over bridges and always have.  Sometimes I deal better with it than other times, but on this day, it was better that I was driving or else Brandon would have had me taking all sorts of pictures when all I really wanted to do was just focus on the road and get over the bridges!

Renae and Mommy at Niagara Falls...before Mommy started freaking out.

Nicholas and Emily way too close to the edge for my comfort!

I think he looks cute here.  It's a good thing Brandon had the camera because I refused to get this close to the edge.

I've never been a fan of heights, but the sound of the falls and the sheer drop just feet way was too much for me.  I never left this grassy spot (I'm the pasty white one sitting in the grass) and even cried a little because it freaked me out so much.  I just blamed it on the pregnancy hormones.

I didn't mind the view from far away, though!

Someone else had to take this one of Brandon.  I'm glad it was taken or else there would have been no evidence that Brandon was at the Falls!

The Kirtland Temple.  My parents watched all of the grandkids outside the temple so that the rest of us could go on the tour without disruption.  (Our kids are notorious for being disruptors.  Cute disruptors, but still...)

We saw this little beauty driving around in Kirtland.  It was so odd, but strangely entertaining at the same time.

We toured around the rest of the church sites in Kirtland on the 4th day before heading home.  Nicholas didn't want to go through the Whitney store, so Brandon stayed outside with him and captured this beautiful little smile!

  1. Fun times! I still don't recall you having height fears as a wee one. Oh well - I can't say anything - I don't like small enclosed places.
