And the Winning Name Is...

...SETH ELLIOTT!

I'll do a quick rundown of why those names were on the list:

Silas Jackson...I had liked the name Silas for about a week back in August, but then I changed my mind.  Then Brandon started liking it, but I kept vetoing it.  Brandon's mom and sister had suggested the name Jackson, which sounds good with Silas, but we just decided that it wasn't for us.

Adam Lee...This was our #2 name.  We liked the simplicity of Adam, but also liked that it isn't the most common name out there and would therefore be unique.  Plus, Brandon's middle name is Lee, and if I'd had a middle name it would have been Lee.  We still like this name, but it's remaining in the #2 slot.

Simon Patrick...I've loved this name for several years now!  Brandon liked it initially, but then I started being more vocal about my crush on The Mentalist's Simon Baker/Patrick Jane.  He feels that if we named a child this, it would be like naming our child after The Mentalist.

Seth Elliott...Which leaves us with Seth!  We had considered Elliott as a first name for a while, but weren't really excited about it.  We also knew that we wanted a short and sweet first name that felt strong.  When we thought about the name Seth, it felt right.  Putting Seth and Elliott together took all of about 5 minutes, and we've loved the combination.  I've also been having fun talking to/about little "Sethy" at home over the last two weeks and haven't had any second thoughts about the name.

Now we just have to wait a mere 16 more weeks (at the most, if I have my way!) until we meet little Seth!  Thanks for humoring us!
