We had such a fun Thanksgiving this year! Since we live so close to both families, we've been able to spend Thanksgiving with either family every year since we've been married. But, we wanted to put Thanksgiving in our own home into the rotation, so this year we hosted our own Thanksgiving!
In the morning, the kids and I went with Brandon to the airport while he helped one of the jets there take off for New York. The pilot and flight attendant were so nice to the kids and let them board their small 30-ish passenger plane and look around. The flight attendant even let the kids choose a snack from the snack basket...they chose Oreos, in case you were wondering! Then the kids got to see Brandon pull the airplane out of the hangar, and then we watched as the plane took off. It was fun seeing Daddy at work! However, little Renae was tired from all of the excitement and crashed on the couch as soon as we got home!
With Renae asleep, it made it much easier for me to get some things done in the kitchen!
Like last year, we invited Brandon's friend Ece (on the left) to join us in our Thanksgiving dinner, and she was able to bring her roommate Ayse with her this year. The kids sure enjoyed entertaining our guests!
We also invited the missionaries serving in our ward and our friends, Bobby and Laura Thurman (also from our ward), to join us for the feast. Before dinner, everyone enjoyed playing Apples to Apples, and Nicholas even won the game!
We forgot to take a picture of the meal before we ate, so here's a little of what was left...it was all so good!
With the exception of the missionaries, Brandon, and Nicholas, here's our fun group enjoying some pie!
