I am just a little behind in my blogging since Seth was born. Actually, I still haven't even blogged about Christmas, and I can't really blame that on Seth. So, I'll just do what I can!
A few weeks after Seth was born, I was experiencing some pretty serious cabin fever. We had also had quite a bit of rain, so my kids had been cooped up, too. That's not a great combination. Fortunately, we had a beautiful, sunny Saturday in early March (I think), so I nagged Brandon until he agreed to go for a drive with us.
He had a surprise for our first stop. Brandon had discovered where the circus train parked during their stay in Cincinnati! These are just the cars for the performers, but it was fun saying that we saw the circus train!
After the train, we ended up at Alms Park. They have a fun playground, some hiking trails, and nice overlooks there. We were amazed at how flooded some areas were from the recent rains, but the hiking trail and playground were mostly dry, so we were able to make use of those!
We had fun watching the kids at the playground. Both Nicholas and Renae are now big enough that I don't have to worry too much about them at the playground. We still keep a close eye on them, but I don't feel like I have to constantly be spotting the kids as they climb on things.
Seth's red hair. He only has a small fraction of that hair left, unfortunately! It's still red, though, so I'm hopeful he'll keep his red hair!
There was a lot of flooding this spring. Those buildings you see here are the picnic pavilion/restrooms of Otto Armleder Park, where we like to take the kids to the playground. You can just barely see the playground to the immediate left of the buildings. This water had to have been at least 5 ft. deep.
