Seth is 1!

Our little guy Seth turned 1 at the beginning of this month!  The last year that we've had him in our home has been a joy...one that I would definitely live all over again because he was such a sweet, easy-going baby.  

For his birthday, we did a Dr. Seuss-ish theme, complete with green (deviled) eggs and ham (sammies).

I made Seth is 1 cupcakes (Thing 1 knock-offs). 

 We have done a slideshow for each of the kids for their first birthdays, too, so I slipped some Dr. Seuss book quotes into his slideshow.  

He really seemed to enjoy the whole production, but was more interested in playing with the toys than opening up the presents.  Fortunately Nicholas and Renae were pretty obliging. :)

When I took him to his one year check up, Seth weighed in at 22 lbs 8 oz (69%) and is 32 in tall (96%).  He started walking on Christmas Eve at 10 1/2 months old, and is now climbing on the kids' beds and the couch, but so far hasn't figured out how to climb on chairs and the table.  

He LOVES eggs...scrambled, deviled, in a quiche, etc.  

He also has a mega sweet tooth, so we need to keep that in check!  

Like his siblings, Seth is also crazy about fruit, guzzles milk (we're trying to move to sippy cups), and thinks cold cereal is pretty awesome.  

He says "mama," "dada," "all done," and "hi."  Whenever we tell him to jump or dance, he does those things, too (with limited success)!  Seth is still very much a mama's boy and loves to cuddle with me, but he loves playing with Brandon and is getting better at going to him for cuddle time, too.  I've also discovered that more so than with Nicholas and Renae, Seth loves a consistent nap schedule.  If he doesn't get his morning and afternoon nap in his crib (as opposed to the car seat while running errands), it is almost a guarantee that he will wake up crying at night.  At least he has been sleeping through the night fairly consistently since the beginning of January!

We love our little man and can't imagine what our family would be like without him!
