Easter 2012

 We had a fun Easter this year!  Here are the highlights:

The church just down the street from us organized a community-wide egg hunt.  Our neighbor has been attending that church for years, so she told us about it.  We met up with her and her grandson (Nicholas's best bud, Garrett) for all of the fun! The kids, especially Seth, came away with a ton of eggs.  Garrett found the golden egg in the 5-7 year old designated area, and Nicholas was a little envious...until he won the Easter basket for that same group!

On Easter Sunday, the kids were excited to wake up and see what the Easter Bunny had brought them. The Monday before, we watched the church video, Finding Faith in Christ, for family home evening so that they wouldn't focus on the Easter Bunny.  We kept trying to emphasize what Easter is really about, but I suppose as long as we keep teaching them, it might sink in one day??? After church, we went to my mom and dad's house for dinner and another egg hunt.  I had all of my siblings and their families there, except my brother Jason's family and my brother-in-law, Jared.  The cousins definitely loved playing together!
