Happy Birthday, Seth!

Our little man Seth turned 2 on February 5th!  It has been so much fun watching this boy grow over the last two years.  There isn't much he can't or won't say these days (including phrases we wish he'd never been taught, like "what da heck?!").  He still loves to cuddle with his mommy, is a huge fan of his grandmas, loves watching Cars 2, Curious George, and Scooby Doo, loves being read to, and always wants to be involved in whatever might possibly be going on in the house.  He is a great helper and is my only child to have ever thrown a fit because I forgot to give him a grocery bag to carry inside after going to the store.  And while all of my kids are pretty polite, it makes me happy when my 2 year-old tells a waitress "thank you" for bringing him a drink!  Seth is a pretty special little guy!

Seth is a big "Georgie" fan, so we went with a Curious George cake.  He was very interested in every step of making this cake.  He helped me mix it up, pour it into the pans, and anxiously watched while it baked.  He also helped me decorate, but I was a little too busy to take any photos because I was trying to keep his hands from doing too much damage.  And, of course, he loved blowing out his candles!  He was surprisingly good at that part!
Brandon was out of town for the big day, but my sister and her kids were in town, so we still had a bit of fun!  Seth is also very much into Cars (the movie), Thomas (just the trains, not the show) and coloring, so he got some toys along those lines from us.  His siblings and cousins were only too willing to help him test them out.
Once Brandon was home, we went up to the Brooks grandparents' home to celebrate.  Seth was given plenty of opportunity to practice his present unwrapping skills; he was in dinosaur heaven!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Seth!
