Three posts in one!

Instead of creating three separate posts, I thought I'd just condense them into one slightly longer post.

For Valentine's Day, I gave Brandon some train tracks for his model train set.  Or rather, I took him to the store, told him to buy some tracks for his gift, and I waited in the car for him with Nicholas while talking on the phone with my cousin.  Bottom line: he got the tracks.  When he
was younger, Brandon and his dad enjoyed working with the trains together, and recently he has wanted to get back into collecting model trains as a hobby.  Sunday morning, Brandon decided to pull out his trains and take over the kitchen table.  I think he was actually fairly reluctant to put them away when it was time to get ready for church!

Last Saturday was a big day for our little Nicholas, too!  Brandon and I have been experiencing a difference of opinion for a while now over whether or not to cut the little guy's hair.  I was so ready to just buzz his hair two months ago, but Brandon wanted me to wait until his first birthday.  The fact of the matter was that Nicholas's hair style was resembling a little too much the worst hair styles of the 80's.  Yes, he had a mullet.  So, we agreed that I would trim up the back and sides and leave it a little longer on top.  Nicholas was okay with the haircutting process initially, but quickly discovered that he did not like being held still.  Then the tears came.  We were all happy with the results, though!

Finally, I thought I'd just share a really fun photo of Nicholas.  It's cute enough that I would have created its very own post just to show it off.  Tonight he had some pasta for dinner and created quite a mess, resulting in a bath.  He just loves bath time so much that he's all smiles as soon as I set him in the tub.  I had to snap this photo because he was just being too funny!

  1. Cute boy! I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates the baby mullet. I cut my kids' hair as soon as it starts to get scraggly in the back. Steve thinks I'm crazy!

  2. cute cute cute! I especially love the crocodile tears in the crying photo. The mullet isn't all bad though...Emily has one going on. I suppose it might be ok on girls though...maybe?

I can't wait to get her here though so I can post pictures!!! Waiting is certainly the hardest part!!! Thanks for the support!!!

PS. I would have to say in the last two pictures of your little guy he really looks a lot like Chris. He is sooo cute!!!
