I Guess I Have Guts

I am often amused by the things Brandon says as he's falling asleep.  He can go from being completely coherent to completely out of it in no time.  Last night, he literally turned off the light and was nearly asleep by the time his head hit the pillow.  I had been talking to him about something exciting like buying a vehicle for me, when he suddenly said, "You've got guts."  I was kind of startled because it was completely unrelated to our conversation, so I asked him why I've got guts.  He just repeated the same statement, but then added, "I can't believe you did what you did."  I was trying so hard to remember what I did!  So I asked him once again why I've got guts.  He then came to and asked me what I was talking about!  I love it when he talks in his sleep because he always says something entertaining, and fortunately for the sake of my entertainment, he does this often!  I love my quirky husband!

  1. This is so funny because Jason and I both have moments like this one. Jason once asked me where the hamster was. I was so confused because his eyes were wide open as if he was awake and we don't have a hamster.

Most recently, Jason has been teasing me that I now speak in parsel tongue (kind of like Harry Potter). Evidently, when he came to be the other night we had a whole conversation were all I did was make those mumbling noises.

  3. My husband has these "sleep talking" moments all the time. Sometimes I listen for a moment or two to see if he is actually talking to me. Sometimes, he acts like he is really talking to me, but I know he isn't and I have to say, Ok, whatever Dave, go back to sleep.
