Our little Miss Renae turned 1 last week! She had sweet potato waffles (a favorite of hers) on her actual birthday for dinner and then I made her a carrot cake (to go with her carrot top) for her birthday party!
It was definitely a hit with everyone! Nicholas kept trying to eat his like a dog (thus the big mess he's making).
Renae created her fair share of the big mess, though!
After we got everyone cleaned up, Renae managed to pull together enough energy to open her presents. We actually took a lot of pictures of her opening presents, but I thought I'd spare everyone by just posting one of those pictures. She caught onto the opening of gifts pretty quickly.
I love this picture that my mom took of Renae and my dad reading together. It was the perfect way for her to relax after such an eventful evening!
We also watched a video I made of Renae's 1st year (one of our traditions for major birthdays). It made me get a little teary-eyed seeing how much my little girl has grown this year.

Wow! I can't believe she is already one! Time sure flies. Her fainting spells are so scary! I hope you can figure out what's causing it.
