Halloween 2009

This year (like every year) I made the kids' costumes.  Nicholas didn't know what he wanted to be until the day before Halloween, so I was glad that it was an easy one!  We had a Spider-man and an 80's punk rocker chick/ballerina princess (interesting combo, right?).  They were cute and loved celebrating Halloween!

Pre-trick or treating obligatory photo

We tried to get Nicholas to slow down long enough to snap a photo...it almost worked!

We had dinner at our friends' home and then went trick or treating with them in our old neighborhood.  Nicholas and their son Aidan are about 7 months apart, but are great friends!  The two of them kept spontaneously giving each other hugs or start chasing each other.  It was fun to watch!

Along our trick or treating route, we ran into the little girl I watch, Isabella, and her parents.  Nicholas and Renae had fun trick or treating at one home with Isabella.  And since the kids were all so cute, we had to get a picture of them together!

Brandon and Renae cut out of trick or treating early so that Renae could go to be and Brandon could pass out candy at our house.  Nicholas and I stayed out almost until the end of trick or treating time.  By the end of the evening, Nicholas was completely wired!  Unknowingly, Brandon gave Nicholas a lollipop, after Nicholas had already opened two others on his own!  He didn't want to set them down for anything...even to go to the potty!

  2. You did a great job with their costumes. I don't blame him, not even mother nature could stop a guy from enjoying his sucker.
