Thanksgiving 2009

Even though Thanksgiving was about a month and a half ago, I thought I should still post a few pictures and memories from our Thanksgiving.

I was really looking forward to this Thanksgiving because it would be the first one I had with my parents at their home in twelve years!  In addition to my parents and our little brood, my sister and her two kids were there, as well as a member of the YSA branch that my parents serve in and two women from Turkey.  One of the ladies was the graduate assistant in one of Brandon's classes at school, and the other was her roommate who is a visiting architectural scholar at the University of Cincinnati.  They had never been to a Thanksgiving feast, so we invited them to participate in this holiday with us.

Much of the day was spent talking, playing games, cooking, and eating (of course)!  We enjoyed learning more about the culture of Turkey and enjoyed some of the new recipes we tried out for a few traditional favorites!

  1. Yay for new posts! I love your tradition for decorating the tree. Cute. And your Turkey day looked awesome. I'm jealous you have a mom and dad home that you grew up in to go home and visit at during the holidays. Don't take that for granted. :)
