Every Monday night we have Family Home Evening (FHE) at our house. A few weeks ago, we were having an FHE on family preparedness, which is something we've been really trying to focus on this year. So, we are putting together a binder with all of our important information, including identification pages for our kids with their photos and fingerprints on them. The kids LOVED getting fingerprinted, though I think I lucked out being paired with Nicholas because Renae was much messier! We also took a basic picture of each of them to put on their papers.
Cute kids, aren't they? They were really excited to get their pictures taken for this project.
After FHE, things got a little crazy as we tried out a new hairstyle for Renae...
...and introduced our kids to a crazy game of zip-your-kids'-arms-up-in-their-pjs-and-put-them-on-the-floor-to-see-if-they-can-stand-up-without-the-use-of-their-arms. Note: the kids actually really like this game, and we don't just play it to entertain ourselves!
Just so you're not too envious of our family, please know that not every night is this exciting at our home, but we do like to have fun together!
Luke did a cute finger printing project at school. He used his thumb print to be little eggs in an easter basket. Thought I would share in case you want to do more finger printing!
ReplyDeleteThat's a really good idea for an FHE... prepardness. I bet the kids loved doing the finger stuff! What a fun game, we'll have to play that with our kids. : )
ReplyDeleteSorry, that comment was mine, I didn't realize I was signed in as my madre... : )
ReplyDeleteLove their "mug shots"! You actually got Nicholas to stay still and keep his eyes open!
