Nicholas is something of a Lego freak. In a good way. He had been requesting a Lego Hat Jones/Batman/Star Wars birthday cake for a while, but I finally got him to settle for a Lego Hat Jones (aka Indiana Jones) cake. I had made two cakes in the shape of Lego blocks, but then my fondant didn't work out too well, so I just iced the cake and made my own Lego topper. Forgive the fact that Mr. Lego Guy isn't a Hat Jones character, but an Atlantis one. Details, details. The cake was delicious, by the way.
At the Brooks grandparents' home, Nicholas was surprised with a Cars pinata!
It was a smashing success (pun intended).
And he especially loved the train/train tracks he got to expand his tracks at home.
What a sweetie!
We got him this Bumblebee helmet. It kept his attention for about 30 minutes...good thing I got it on clearance! He actually really likes it, but finds it slightly claustrophobic.
4 candles!
We also celebrated his birthday at our house with my parents. He's showing me how big he was now that he was 4 years old!
Legos! Awesome! He always has the best expressions.
Busytown game...a lot of fun, in case you were wondering. I'd recommend it.
Lego head cupcakes...also very delicious.
Cool dragon car track from my parents for the bathtub. When he opened it, he said, "wow! I've been wanting this for DAYS!"
We hope you had a wonderful birthday, Nicholas! We love you so much...you bring joy to us every single day!
looks like a fun birthday.
