We did so many things this summer, that if I ever want to be caught up with this blog I need to just do this one post with all of the highlights!
The kids and I went to Parky's Farm with some friends to a miniature horse activity and stayed for playground and wagon ride fun!
After the family reunion, our little family went to Springfield, Missouri for the weekend. My family humors me by going to a Japanese garden while we were there. We were excited to discover that the Japanese garden was part of a larger garden, including a fun butterfly house!
After Springfield, we dropped Brandon off at the airport and the kids and I headed to my aunt Kim's home in Illinois. We hadn't seen her family since Renae was a baby, so it was a lot of fun since my cousins are really just a few years older than Nicholas. They took us to a local nature preserve, which was so fun (minus the stinging nettle incident...)!
Other summer activities/events included my niece Lynn being born and blessed, catching fireflies at the Brooks home in Mt. Sterling, some water fun at Woodland Mound, stamp convention with the ladies in the family, pizza making (lots of it!), and pedal boating with Austin and Sara! I also turned the big 3-0, but as usual, we got no pictures of my birthday!
Summer 2011 was a good one for us!
