Seth's BIG milestones:
Rolled over: May 8th (Happy Mother's Day to me!)
First tooth: May 23rd (discovered during a tornado warning while taking shelter in my parents' basement, and followed up by 6 more the next day...only 5 of them stayed out, while the others slid back into his gums)
Consistently Smiling: Sometime by the end of May/early June (3 1/2- 4 mos old...he's a very serious little boy!)
First Giggle: June 19th (Happy Father's Day/Welcome home to Daddy! I still can't get him to giggle, but the kids and Brandon can)
First "Official" Baby Food: June 25th, applesauce (he has since eaten lots of different things, but seems to love squash and fruits and cereals more than veggies)
Sat Up On His Own: July 31st (he looked so pleased with himself when he started doing this...it was so cute!)
Crawled: Week of August 8th (he kind of looks gimpy when he does it because he often drags one leg or the other, but he can crawl normally, so I'm not worried about a lame leg, even if it looks like he has one!)
Pulled Himself to Standing: Also the week of August 8th (he seems to want to skip crawling all together and can't wait to walk, but Nicholas was the same way and walked at 9 1/2 months...Seth seems to be following right in his footsteps!)
First Time Slept Through the Night: August 13th (we have yet to see a repeat performance...unfortunately!)Seth is now 6 1/2 months old, and is just growing leaps and bounds! When I took him in for his 6 month check up, the doctor was amazed by how strong and fast Seth is. Once he started crawling around, he went from being in the 80th percentile for weight and 65th for length to 65th for weight and 85th for length (roughly 18 lbs and 28 in long now!). Like I mentioned before, he is a very serious little boy, but he sees everything and is very observant. I was in a training meeting the other week for Relief Society, and he just sat and stared at the speaker. I was sitting next to our Relief Society president, and she said that she half-expected him to take notes because he was so intent on listening! But, even with all of his seriousness, he is still a very happy, active baby. We are having to baby proof things sooner than we had anticipated! He loves playing with his toys, loves twirling his fingers through my hair (which is why I had about 7 inches chopped off a few months back), and loves being kissed more than any other baby I've ever met! Seth certainly brings so much joy and love into our home, and it's getting harder and harder to remember what life was like before he joined us.
You weren't kidding! Lots of milestones at once! Seems like your kids just develop quickly! I think it's a great thing! I felt like my life completely changed with Amelia started walking. It was 100% easier to have a walking baby!
