A Happy Halloween

 Now for a few catch-up posts...bear with me! :)

Halloween 2014 was a lot of fun for us!  A few weeks before Halloween, I took the kids to Goodwill to pick out some costumes.  It was a great one stop shop for us!

Renae transformed into a cheetah.
Seth was the world's cutest hamburger
Nicholas realized his dream of finally being in a video game.
Andrew was born to be a penguin.

We weren't able to make it to our ward's Halloween party because Nicholas was sick, but everyone was mostly feeling well for the big day. Living in the Pacific Northwest, we were, of course, prepared for the fact that it would probably rain.  I was optimistic because the whole day was nice and sunny...until an hour before trick-or-treating began.  So, I put some hot cocoa in the pressure cooker to simmer, and we bundled up before heading out into the rain!  Brandon, Seth, and Andrew only lasted about 45 minutes, but I continued on with the older kids.  By the time trick-or-treating was over, the kids were happy with their haul, and I was happy to be home, sipping hot cocoa and bundled up in a cozy blanket!  Unfortunately, Miss Renae managed to snag a fever while we were out, too... All in all, it was a fun Halloween, though!
