A Little Randomness Never Hurt Anyone

We finally got our camera back last night after being without it for (gasp) 18 days!  It was fun to rediscover the photos and memories it contained.

On January 13, we headed up to Mt. Sterling, OH to join in a Brooks Family Birthday Party for Brandon, his mom, and his sister Marissa.  It was fun visiting and playing games with everyone there.  Brandon's brother Austin headed up a game called "What Would You Do For a Klondike Bar?"  I said the alphabet backwards and all 50 states in alphabetical order...something I've been able to do since 2nd and 5th grades.  Brandon decided to be the daredevil in our relationship and lit a tea bag on fire from both his forehead and the palm of his hand.  This is an object lesson he learned before and the tea bag is supposed to lift up.  Unfortunately it didn't work so well...he nearly lost his eyebrows and still has remnants of a blister on the palm of his hand!

Earlier this month it was surprisingly warm outside, so Nicholas and I took a little stroll over to the park in our backyard.  He absolutely loves to swing and just be outside in the warm sunshine!  I love playing with him!

Two Sundays ago, I got out some church clothes for Nicholas and started getting him ready while Brandon was also getting ready for church.  When everyone was ready, I stepped back and looked at the two of my guys and noticed that they were almost EXACTLY alike!

And even though I don't have any photos of it, last night we were excited to be able to go see Brandon's brother Scott as he is starting out as a stand-up comedian!  Unfortunately, the club was over-booked, and Scott was bumped.  But, he has been asked to participate in a show in Dayton and was able to network a little with some of the other comedians there and will hopefully also participate in some open-mike nights!  We're excited for you, Scott, and wish you the best of luck!  We think you're hilarious and always knew you'd use that talent you've been given!
