House #1
This is the house from the last post and is the first one we saw. It's a cute cottage with lots of potential for the best curb appeal, but the inside would need the most updating . It also comes with the cheapest price tag. 2 bedrooms, no garage, fenced in nice backyard.
House #2
This one is a white two story with three bedrooms, a screened in porch off the kitchen, and a garage. It has a good sized backyard, but with no fence or much shade. It has some room for renovating and updating to make it our own and has the most square footage of the three homes, with a price tag near House #1's. We are concerned that it doesn't have any appliances, an older furnace, and one socket we noticed looked like it had been burned, so there might be potential faulty wiring.
House #3
This one is right next door to House #2, but was already rehabbed this year, so it is in complete move in ready condition. It is also the smallest with the biggest price tag. It has 2 bedrooms, a garage, and a really nice backyard. The woman who rehabbed it did a really nice job on all of the updates, and it is still priced reasonably well, with a new furnace and central A/C installed.
It would probably help you choose if I told you exactly what we're looking for, but that would probably give it away, so I'll just let you choose!
I'm a big fan of move in ready houses! :-) Doing home improvement projects with little kids underfoot is a pain in the neck. But I'm going to have to vote for the 3 bedroom house. You'll need the space!
ReplyDeleteMy vote (in order...) #3 (although it's missing a bedroom :) #1 then #2.....
ReplyDeleteBUT any decision you make will be the right one! They're all super cute!
:)
I LOVE House Hunters!! Dan just rolls his eyes when I start watching it (since he does it for a living it's not like he wants to come home and watch it too!).
ReplyDeleteAnyways, my vote is #3. I'm all for move-in ready--especially with a new little one on the way. It's a really cute house and you gotta have A/C!
Good luck, can't wait to see which one you choose.
Brandon and Becca I voted for #2 because of the 3rd bedroom. Children grow up so fast and just need room to be themselves. No mention was made of the number of bath's, and that is also an important aspect of a house. A burned socket can easily be replaced. Whaat really needs to be examined is the fuse box itself. If it is a mess, then be careful. Best of luck. Love Grandpa
ReplyDeleteI like number 3 because I live in an older home with work to be done. But, knowing that you two like adventure my bet is you will pick number 1!
