Some of these pictures are several months old, but still worth posting, right?
I was pretty impressed with my own ingenuity here. True, I didn't invent the water slide, but I did look at the things in my own backyard and created something that the kids could have fun with. They have spent many an afternoon playing on this water slide. I also noticed that our neighbor set up her slide and kiddie pool exactly like this for her grandson, so it seems like an all-around winner.
What could be more perfect than some fudgesicles to go with some water fun?
While we were outside playing, I kept noticing that Bailey wasn't behaving like her normal puppy self. I, however, did not notice that her joints by her front paws were very swollen and she was covered in hives. I took her to the vet that night and came home with all sorts of medication for her. Poor Bailey!
We also went over to my parents' house one afternoon for the kids to play in the sprinkler with their cousins. Nicholas thought that playing in the sprinkler meant picking up the sprinkler and spraying anyone nearby with it. So we switched activities to...
...a make-shift slip and slide! The kids had more fun with this, though from this picture, it looks a little like Emily is still having some issues with Nicholas.
Renae liked to "help" keep the slip and slide nice and wet.
After the water festivities were over, my mom and I wrapped the kids up in towels. Emily then pointed out that they all looked like Romans, so I had to take a photo of the little Romans.

That was a fun day! I love the toga picture!
