Brandon's work assignment for almost 2 years was with Paramount Pictures in Hollywood. Talk about an awesome first assignment! Last year I got to travel with him on my dream vacation to Spain, Germany, and France, but I never went to California with him until his last trip there for the Paramount project. It was so much fun, especially given the snow Ohio was experiencing while I was enjoying sunshine, warmer temps, and BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS!

Brandon has been staying in the Hilton at Universal Studios almost every trip to CA. The staff there knew him pretty well by the time I visited, so they upgraded our room to the 24th floor in a nice corner room with a view. It was so nice! And they have the best orange juice there for breakfast.

I went to work with Brandon on the studio lot that Friday. At lunch time, his cousin Charlotte (photography student in Pasadena) and her boyfriend joined us for a tour. It was fun seeing things like signs for the community college on the show Community, the stage for Glee, and the set for Dr. Phil. Though I didn't manage to take any photos, we went hiking after work with one of Brandon's coworkers (and good friend) in Runyon Canyon. It was so beautiful...and slightly exhausting!

We also went to the Getty...a museum where rich people have stored their priceless classical statues, sculptures, and other pieces of art. I liked it, but I'm more into paintings. However, the gardens were beautiful, so I was in heaven.

Los Angeles LDS Temple (plus us at the beach in Santa Monica)

South Coast Botanic Garden

San Fermin Lighthouse. I could live there. It was so beautiful! Just up the hill from the lighthouse was a park with the Korean Bell of Friendship. I'm not sure what the background for the bell was, but it was neat.
